Capel Manor’s Taste of Autumn event delivered a fantastic display of fruits and vegetables most of which were grown in Capel’s grounds. It’s amazing how many varieties were found within our own grounds with potatoes (courtesy of Thompson and Morgan), berries – including fuchsia, slow berries and golden raspberries, plus chillies, figs, quinces, herbs, marrows, pumpkins and apples. Visitors made the most of the tasting opportunities including a delicious home made pumpkin soup.
