Thirty three Dutch students from Wellantcollege MBO Houten visit Capel Manor’s Princess Royal College of Animal Management and Saddlery, London.

During the visit, students had a tour of the college and beautiful gardens, followed by a presentation from Christina Bevan (Deputy Head). Students then took part in animal enrichment activities, handling snakes, feeding meerkats, animal health checks as well as flying one of our barn owls.

A big thank you to lecturers from Wellant College, Wilco Versloot and Jneke Vastenhout and Capel Manor students who came in during the holiday.

Level 3 Diploma students planting 37 different varieties of seed potatoes supplied by Thompson & Morgan as part of a trial.

Throughout the growing season the potatoes will be earthed up, watered and monitored for any pest/disease.

There will be Judging and a press day in July, where the potatoes will be lifted by variety, cooked and tasted by members from the RHS and Thompson & Morgan.
